I gave this lecture at Ryokoku University, Kyoto, April 2018 in which I present aspects of my research into Shanti Mandir. I first give an overview of the research, which includes my theoretical framework and an introduction to the community. This is followed by observations relating to aesthetic theories of perception, ie śāntamūrti and śāntarasa in relation to the formal pedagogical domain of satsaṅga, which is where this epistemic community learn to adopt the legitimate 'yogic' disposition. In the final section I explore the structure of the social network through applying my interpretation of legitimation code theory. In the last 30-40 mins is a question time. I've post-produced this to make the audio and video quality much better. I've also added extra videos from Shanti Mandir's Youtube channel to help show more about the organisation. You can also look at the documentary I made about Shanti Mandir, HERE.
